Special Necessity Hearing for the South St. Paving Project

Called to Order:
-The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman Jonathan Shaw at 6:00 pm and then turned over to the Town consulting engineer, Evan Detrick of Dubois and King, Inc. with comments from the Town Attorney, Andy MacIlwaine of Dinse, Knapp & McAndrew, PC.
A. Evan Detrick explained the steps that have been taken by the Town since 2006 in regard to improving and paving South St. and the process of why the Necessity Hearing is being held at this time.
B. Testimony by approximately 11 of the 32 people in attendance was heard in support and opposition to the project.
C. After consideration of input from the public, the Board agrees that the project is necessary. Carol Tremble made a motion to have Skip Brown draft a resolution outline with the findings supporting the Board’s necessity determination within 60 days. The motion was seconded, all in attendance so voted and the motion carried.
D. The Board set a date of January 8, 2015 for the condemnation hearing.
-Anne Zolotas made a motion to adjourn 7:25 pm. The motion was seconded all in attendance so voted and the motion carried.
